Details: I have a 2004 Kia Rio for sale. It has 140,000 miles- most of it highway. I have renewed all the tires. The brakes have been renewed (and are under warranty with Autozone- receipt included). The transmission was replaced less than a year ago. The timing belt has been replaced recently. I have put over $1000 in work into the engine within the past 3 months. The new engine had about 60,000 miles on it at time of installation (January 2012). The car runs extremely well, a very smooth ride. AC and heater work great! Windshield and lights are fairly new as well and look good. I was very prompt on upkeep of the car- oil changes etc. I just paid registration so it is valid until April 2013. This car is 4 cylinder and VERY gas efficient (great commuter car). The car has no electrical issues. I bought the car from a friend to improve on gas efficiency (down grading from a V6) and was VERY satisfied with MPG´s of this vehicle. This car has been GREAT for me, however I have a growing family and need an SUV to fit all of us! Not selling this car due to any operating issues, just logistics! Details: This car is being sold ´as is´ for parts or repair. 135,000 miles with Clean CA Title and the AC works. All glass is intact and there are no major dents or rust. The car runs and has been reliable for us. I am however out of work and cannot afford to repair the tranny and pay for smog/registration right now. It is registered through 5/20. I was replacing the CV axels/joints and could not remove the driver side CV axel from the tranny. I have confirmed with three mechanics that the transmission will need to be removed and possibly replaced to finish the job. Meanwhile the car could be driven to a buyers residence or mechanic, but not used to get around. I have found a transmission for $300 used.
