In an attempt to avoid someone ungrateful getting such a steal or myself taking a severe loss such as with a trade-in, I decided to advertise my Kia Sorento on Craig´s List with the hope of finding someone who is handy with cars and willing to take the time to make the couple of repairs which will ultimately reward them with an excellent SUV for many years to come. Due to my fiance´s and my current severe financial difficulties as a result of being out of work, we had found ourselves in a sort of ´catch 20´ where we needed a vehicle to get a job but yet needed a job to have money to repair the car. In addition, due to our desperation and immediate need to find employment, we could not spare the time to fix the Sorento and were presented the opportunity by a relative to put a downpayment on a new-used vehicle that was up and running right now in order to help us get work right now. DON´T LOOK A GIFT HORSE IN THE MOUTH ... This is a great investment for anyone who knows the high original costs of SUVs and who values an excellent running vehicle with good mpg. This 2006 Kia Sorento as is with all details included is valued at $8,573.00 per Kelley Blue Book, but I am willing to let it go for $4,000.00 or best offer. However, the mpg according to Kelley Blue Book is 13 city and 18 highway where I experienced much better mpg of approx 20 city and 23-26 highway. I have attached below a copy of the detailed Private Party Value report that I obtained from Kelley Blue Book along with a copy of the Condition Quiz Result which does briefly describe all mechanical problems (work needed on engine and AC as indicated) and the few dings and scratches (normal wear and tear far less than the <$1,000 category I chose) and as such takes this into consideration when computing the final value.
